18 August 2017: So many doubles hit that I lost count!

So many doubles hit that I lost count!
Our offense never stopped, no brakes to press.
A four-hit game from Taylor, what a mount
To win after a trailing; no more stress.
The runs enough to help Rich get the win
With three earned runs on his part – no big deal!
A-Gon came back real strong; we missed his grin
And saw it more than once when game was sealed!
To push us in the lead, that’s Corey’s feat.
Though bullpen gave up two, insurance saved
And comforted the fears that roam the street
Of feelings negative that we have waived.
The afternoon sees Ryu take control
To win another start – he’s on a roll!

16 August 2017: There’s always someone new to save the day!

There’s always someone new to save the day,
And Puig was last night’s hero in the end!
When down by two, we don’t just go away.
We fight like gladiators. Puig’s our friend
And hero! Though Yu’s birthday outing was
Not great, he still went six despite some pain
Inside his back. The bullpen then showed jaws
That let their bats pour on the Sox some rain.
The rally in the ninth: kicked off by Cody’s
Pinch-hit single; Logan brought him in.
Then Austin singled, giving Puig the keys
To walk it off and get another win!
Another day for this great team to rest
Before A-Gon comes back and Hill shows zest.

13 August 2017: Witness their strength, their valor, and their force!

Witness their strength, their valor, and their force!
Down first we were, but then there came a burst
Of bats that brought us back on winning course,
Forgetting runs they let back in the first.
The fourth frame gave a pillar filled with runs
Including a three-run shot from JT!
Yasmani also showed his dinger guns
To help bring fans the atmosphere of glee!
Maeda wasn’t awful, but not great.
The bullpen made sure no more runs would come.
Before the end, JT once more touched plate,
Then Kenley came to strike the Padres dumb!
Relax today, for they are off to ‘lax.
Then Wood will greet the White Sox with his acts!

12 August 2017: “I get knocked down, but I get up again”

“I get knocked down, but I get up again”
Are words a group from Leeds sung famously.
Last night, the Dodgers refused to be slain
And we excelled by the grace of Corey!
When down by three with bases filled, to right
He swung and made a chance for Puig
To charge the plate and bring light to our night!
Such strong-fixed victor’s ways have no fatigue.
Though Ryu did not dominate so much,
The bullpen begged the question, “Where’s your bats?”
A winning season clinched with magic touch,
Historically ’twas done – God bless blue hats.
To take the series, Kenta must be strong
And try to stay in blaze of sun for long.

26 July 2017: Another comeback! Thanks to Ginger Christ

Another comeback! Thanks to Ginger Christ,
We fought back from five down to nail the sweep!
Some shoddy early defense made hopes iced,
But in the end, we got a game to keep!
Our pitching was alright – the bullpen strong
Like diamonds underneath a gamma ray.
The dongs from Puig and Joc went far and very long,
And Chase was close to one – his hair so gray
But heart still burning! Wolverine’s sac fly
Was very strange, but it still tied the game!
Then JT came to say hello, goodbye!
And that’s five straight that we will gladly claim.
We have a day to rest before we take
On our worst enemies; Wood takes that wake.

7 July 2017: Two hot teams met, but we burned more last night

Two hot teams met, but we burned more last night.
Success at home continued – oh Ravine!
With Kenta’s start and bullpen’s quiet might,
We maintained the results of our machine!
A milestone for Chase: his thousandth run
Brought in, though no emotion from his face!
A solo shot from Puig is always fun!
L-F’s and Corey’s singles gave more space.
This team is so much fun – I cannot state
That fact enough! Each Dodger game feels safe
When every single player’s feeling great
And not a single team can bring a strafe!
McCarthy’s back today! He’ll face the heat
From L.A.’s famous summer meet-and-greet.

5 July 2017: Another win for Alex – what a shock!

Another win for Alex – what a shock!
That’s ten wins and a lowered ERA
Responding to the snub that made us balk,
But Wood paid no attention to the nay.
The other starter was not bad at all;
We just needed one run to take the game
Since Wood plus bullpen built a shutout wall
That made the Arizona bats look lame.
Yasmani got that double to advance
Chris T. from first to home real easily.
We hope that Alex Wood gets asked to dance
In All-Star stripes since Kershaw can’t journey.
A sweep of snakes? That sounds so sweet to hear!
Now only if Rich Hill plays on god tier.
