19 Apr 2017: ‘Twas dominance. What else did we expect?

‘Twas dominance. What else did we expect
From Savior Clayton? But, before the game,
Delay occurred: the Rockies starter trekked
Real slow and late, igniting Clayton’s flame.
The goat was unaffected: seven rounds
Of double-digit K’s and just two runs.
The offense led by leadoff Kiké’s pounds
And Scott Van Slyke’s deliv’ry to the suns.
The bullpen, strong again, as usual,
With Kenley starting his save in the eighth;
His cutter makes batter delusional,
And that is why in him we put our faith.
The day today is free of any stress,
For ‘tis an off-day—let us get some rest.
