17 Apr 2017: The start was fine; the end, though, panged my heart

The start was fine; the end, though, panged my heart
As Hatcher lost the tie to Jake Lamb’s rake.
McCarthy did not have an awful start
With eight strikeouts, but it was our mistake
To only put five hits upon the board.
Sombrero gold for Corey, what a shame,
But Segedin, who flew in late—he scored
One run; the other from a Kiké maim.
‘Twas the first time our bullpen ‘llowed a dong
This season—that’s the silver lining for
The loss. ‘Tis necessary to come back strong
After this series ended with a horr.
The next two games, at home, will have us face
The Rockies; we must win this shortened race.
